“What is your ideal job?”
Whenever someone would ask, I imagined helping someone write their book.
My Working Philosophy
I want to serve as a trusted and encouraging expert, advisor, and friend for you when we work together. I have the curiosity, empathy, and skill to capture or edit your story. I want to entertain, delight, and transform your readers. But more than that I want you to feel understood throughout the process.

I believe that there is dignity and worth in every story. I appreciate that writing is a vulnerable act and that the material we work on together might be emotional, difficult, scary, or overwhelming. My job is to make sure that you feel safe and valued through the process.
Sharing stories is so important because it is how we connect with one another. The more we share and recognize ourselves in someone else’s story, the more human we become. This takes time and patience, both of which I offer to you.
I will always strive to treat you, your writing, and your ideas with care and consideration. I want to help you create or refine something powerful, worthwhile, and meaningful. Working together, you can expect that I will:
- operate from a place of nonjudgment and open-mindedness
- offer thorough comments, edits, suggestions, and questions with thoughtfulness, empathy, and always in the spirit of seeking understanding
- serve as a source of objective and constructive feedback while remaining kind and your biggest supporter
- be a team player, even if that is a team of two
I am here to guide you through the next phase of your story. This ethos will be in play no matter what service we are working on together.
